The X Men Provide An All round View

Xylon a Xilinx Alliance partner are demonstrating their IP cores implemented in a Xilinx FPGA.

The Xilinx automotive targeted design platform for four camera surround view provides the multi-camera support and image processing needed to stitch four images into a seamless single image. Extensive image processing IP, image compensation for fish eye lens and camera offsets are used to provide a single matched image for parking assistance.

Thumping Tunes & Eye Catching Displays

I could not help but notice the banging tunes pumping out of Hall A4 stand 207. Intersil were demonstrating their Techwell Automotive solutions. The thumping baseline initially filled my ears and directed me to a sleak dash board jam packed with high tech automotive infotainment.

Rearview mirror display, front console display, DVD player, navigation and a number of cameras populate the "cut out" lifesize model. Read more

TI Chronos Watch Controls Robot

Just been on to the Texas Instruments stand at Electronica 2010. The stand was rammed with visitors looking at a variety of exciting new products. There was particular buzz around a metallic table top maze containing wirelessly controlled robots. Read more
