Always switch off before you leave home

Hopefully this isn't something that happens too often but from now on I'll be unplugging my MacBook Pro when I leave the house.

my thoughts exactly. who sits there watching their macbook burn while they film it?

on a serious note there was a problem with li-ion batteries in laptops going on fire a few years back. look on u-tube, the resulst were spectacular.

I remember that. There was a massive recall of Sony Vaio laptops!

Picture the scene.. sat there with your latop and hey, look the power lead is on fire... now..

do you

1) Pull the lead out, back flip over the sofa and kill the juice going to the AC supply.

or...

2) Grab your phone, flick through apps to find the camera (on your iphone of course) and then select video mode. While waiting for the camera to switch modes, quickly change laptop wallpaper to something commercial.. oh anything will do, maybe your company wallpaper, remembering to minimise any specialist sites currently open in your browser. Now commence filming the smouldering wire, thinking to yourself how this is going to make a great video clip online.
