DesignSpark PCB - I’ve just created a Symbol in the library, how do I add it to the design?

You’ve successfully saved the Schematic symbol into your symbol library and now want to use it but cannot see it in the Add Component dialog. The reason is that you also need to create a Component for the symbol in order to add it to the design.

 

Once you’ve created the Component containing this symbol, providing it is correct, you can then use the Add Component dialog to locate and add it to the design.

 

The point is, to use a Symbol or Footprint, they must be included in a Component first.
