Leeds Hackspace
In the last few years there has been an explosive growth of the hacker/maker community with hackspaces springing up all over the globe, Maker Faire crossing the Atlantic and a plethora of DIY kits coming onto the market and instructional videos posted to Youtube etc.
Last month I made a trip to West Yorkshire in the North of England and interviewed people from three organisations that are in some way connected with this rapidly growing scene. The interviews were broadcast as part of the Outriders show on BBC Radio 5 Live and can now be downloaded as a podcast. Note that the BBC only makes these available for a period of four weeks from broadcast and so the download will probably disappear around 6/7th December 2010.
