How do I split the pins to different gates ?

I am trying to create a component for FPGA which has 169 pins. I want to split them across 4 gates in the schematic symbol or the component.

Do I have to do something special while creating the schematic symbol ?

Or

During the component creating process I have to split in to gates. Even in this case how do I assign pins to different gates ?

Thanks

Few questions. Lets say i want 4 sections of FPGA.

When I create the FPGA I have to create it as 4 different schematics ?

Then during component creation combine them all and map the pins of component to the 4 gates of FPGA ?

Hi JP,

It is a good practice to split larger components like FPGAs to multiple gates. I suggest to search the built-in DSPCB help contents. Searching for 'gates' will give you the answers you are looking for, cheers
