Schematic and Footprint for R-PSIP-G3

Hi all,

Am new to PCb design and am strugglling to find a PCB foot print for a Texas Instruments device footprint. It's a EFC (R-PSIP-G3). I want to use the SMD type rather than the thru hole model. The TI part number is is PT78HT205S and RS part number is 661-7544. The schematic should be the same as a standard 78XX voltage regulator. Is there any equivalent SMD footprint that i could use? Help please.

cheers

Eugene

Hi,

I tried to do the foot print but when i use the wizard, i selected SOT which doesn't really work as i need a huge pad for the ground maybe like a TS3B. I tried to edit it but don't really know my way round. I have tried creating other components with no problem except this.

cheers

You can find the package specifications and dimensions in this PDF document:

So maybe you can draw a PCB footprint yourself?
