Just been on to the Texas Instruments stand at Electronica 2010. The stand was rammed with visitors looking at a variety of exciting new products. There was particular buzz around a metallic table top maze containing wirelessly controlled robots.
The eZ430-Chronos is a highly integrated, wearable wireless development system that comes in a sports watch. It is designed around the CC430F6137 <1 GHz RF SoC. This watch features a 96 segment LCD display and provides an integrated pressure sensor and 3-axis accelerometer for motion sensitive control. The integrated wireless feature allows the Chronos to act as a central hub for nearby wireless sensors such as pedometers and heart rate monitors.
The demonstration on the stand today shows the Chronos watch utilising wireless to control a small robot around a maze.

The audio quality isn’t great, the stand was mega busy and very noisy, but the video is great!
