DesignSpark PCB version 3 - Wired by RS

Free from practical constraints on board size, pin counts, layers and output types, DesignSpark PCB can be used for schematic capture, PCB layout and generating manufacturing files.

Multi-page schematic designs are supported, gerber (extended) outputs allow the designer to choose who will manufacture their board.

DesignSpark PCB supports the importing of Eagle design files and libraries. See the Eagle import tutorial for further information.

A comprehensive standard parts library is supplied, this can be amended, copied, added to etc as required. Sophisticated New Part Creation Wizards make it easy to design new parts from scratch or by using standard symbols and footprints. Please be encouraged to share your designs, libraries and tips so other users can benefit from your experience.

Bill of materials reports can be generated at any time, these will give RS order numbers where appropriate.

How much does DesignSpark PCB cost?
DesignSpark PCB is offered completely free of charge and fully featured. This is not a crippled version of an expensive product or one with a time limitation on license. To use the save function you will need to activate your copy of DesignSpark PCB

What are the limitations on designs?
There are no intentional limitations on designs. Unlimited schematic sheets per project, up to 1m squared of board size and no limits on layers allow you to get your creativity flowing without restraints.

OK, but what output files can I generate for manufacturing and ordering? Am I locked into a specific pcb manufacturer?
DesignSpark PCB allows you to generate all the files required to take your project from schematic to built project. Gerbers (Extended RS-274-X), Excellons, BOM's and component lists and positions are possible along with DXF (import and export), and IDF for interfacing to mechanical CAD tools.

What are the limitations on commercial usage of DesignSpark PCB?
