yED - Flowchart Editor

Overview
I was looking for a Flowchart software for quite sometime now. Word has all the shapes and arrows and may not be the right choice, still. Recently, found yED to be quite helpful. It is THE software for not only flowchart but also many other things. Here are the various things, that can be done.
Details
Nice shapes with tooltip descriptions. Positioning the shapes and edges (arrows) is easy as always you get a grid to show their position vis-a-vis the nearest shapes.
A Neighbourhood window shows which blocks are nearby and with a click of a tab, you could see the predecessors and successors of a selected block.
The ease with which the arrows connect between the blocks is very satisfying.
Perhaps, the highlight of the software is the lens for zooming in data over which the mouse travels. I strongly recommend the readers to try this.
Another important feature is the UML modelling chart. It, IS, the most important facility ,we the embedded types, are looking for and can use to the heart's content.
Exporting to pdf, html, image formats is possible.
Over and above all this, It's free.
